Newcastle Conservative Federation was formed by the merger of the three city Conservative Associations in 1999. It covers the three proposed parliamentary constituencies of Newcastle Central, Newcastle North, and Newcastle East. Within these boundaries it has the aims and responsibility of promoting the election of Conservative candidates in local and national elections.
It also provides opportunities for Party members to socialise, discuss Party policy, and contribute to the life of the Party at a local level. Whilst the majority of activities are carried out on a city wide basis, the Federation structure also retains the branch system and encourages members to organise events at Ward level where numbers allow.
